In February, the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA) is organizing three networking events for Tourism Cooperation Networks and their members, with active participation from the Vidzeme Tourism Association.

On February 15th at 1:00 PM, the Turaida Museum Reserve invites visitors to celebrate Meteņi (the traditional Latvian Shrove Tuesday), to experience ancient Latvian seasonal traditions, songs, and folk games firsthand.

The historical Gulbene–Alūksne narrow-gauge (750 mm) railway is a cultural monument where a narrow-gauge train—affectionately known as "Bānītis"—runs on a regular daily schedule. It is the only regularly operating narrow-gauge railway in the Baltic States. While providing local passenger transport between two regional centers, Bānītis is also a beloved tourist attraction and an engaging way to travel through Vidzeme. It serves as a unique venue for various events, the highlight of which is the annual Bānītis Festival. At the home of "Gulbenes-Alūksnes bānītis" Ltd.—the Gulbene Depot—visitors can also find the "Depo" guest house and a publicly accessible sauna.

Bīriņi Manor is beginning a new visual chapter in its story, while carefully preserving its unique historical soul. The refreshed brand identity creates a symbolic bridge between the past and the present, honoring the manor’s heritage and adapting it to a modern language.

This week, Madrid will once again become the epicenter of global tourism as it hosts the FITUR 2026 International Tourism Trade Fair. Organized by IFEMA MADRID, the event will take place from January 21st to 25th.
