Bīriņi Castle is beginning a new visual chapter in its story, while carefully preserving its unique historical soul. The refreshed brand identity creates a symbolic bridge between the past and the present, honoring the castle’s heritage and adapting it to a modern aesthetic.
The central element of the new visual identity is a crown-like motif inspired by the silhouette of the Bīriņi Castle tower, echoing the crown symbolism found in the historical coat of arms. It embodies the castle’s grandeur, traditions, resilience, and elegance—values that have defined Bīriņi Castle’s identity since its very beginnings.
The brand’s typography is based on a specially selected font inspired by a book printed in 1893. This subtle reference revives the era when the castle was a center for sophisticated gatherings, grand celebrations, and romantic events.
The new visual identity was created by interior architect and designer Inga Garniere, skillfully weaving historical elements with the contemporary to ensure that the story of Bīriņi Castle continues in a fresh, modern form.
With this new brand identity, Bīriņi Castle opens the next chapter of its development, remaining a significant cultural and historical pearl of the Vidzeme region.
