On Saturday, September 3rd, a cycling tour is being organized from Balvi to Gulbene, utilizing the Greenways and Cycling Route No. 11! During the ride, participants will have the opportunity to discover historical stories about the former railway line that once traveled through Balvi to Gulbene. Furthermore, you will get to experience the legendary "Bānītis" (Narrow-Gauge Railway) Festival in Gulbene!

Within the framework of the "Greenways Riga–Viļaka" project, seminars were organized to highlight best practice examples and inspire entrepreneurs to develop services in the vicinity of the route.

On the eve of the Battle of Cēsis Remembrance Day, June 21, Latvian and Estonian history and tourism experts gathered at Castle Square (Pils laukums) in Cēsis to discuss the interpretation of military heritage in modern times and education.

From May 23rd to 25th, 2022, the international "Cultural Creative Industries and Tourism Conference" took place in Cēsis, gathering participants from Greece, Italy, Cyprus, Ireland, Poland, Hungary, and, of course, Latvia.

A star in the European heritage constellation – the Turaida Museum Reserve has been awarded the European Heritage Label. The Turaida Museum Reserve has received recognition from the European Commission – the European Heritage Label. This award confirms that the heritage of the Turaida Historical Centre belongs to the common European cultural heritage and highlights the site's significance within the context of European history.
