EuroVelo 13 — Iron Curtain Trail is one of the longest cycling routes in Europe, connecting Northern Europe with Central Europe and following the line of the former “Iron Curtain.” In Latvia, the route stretches along the Baltic Sea coast, allowing cyclists to experience the vastness of the sea, the coastal breeze, and the peaceful, scenic environment.

The Vidzeme coastal section is particularly noteworthy, offering one of the most beautiful parts of the route in Latvia—with long sandy beaches, pine forests, dunes, bird-watching spots, and small seaside villages.
