Located 9 meters underground within the territory of the “Līgatne” Rehabilitation Center, lies a 2,000 m² well-equipped civil defense bunker. Built in the 1980s for the political elite, its purpose was to ensure state leadership in the event of nuclear warfare. To this day, the bunker has preserved all of its original equipment, and the exhibits on display offer a glimpse into Soviet-era life through authentic artifacts.
The bunker offers guided tours, the reality game “Object X,” “Party in the Bunker,” and dining in the underground canteen.
Public tours during the summer season:
- Weekdays at 15:00
- Saturdays and Sundays at 12:00, 14:00, 16:00
During the winter season:
- Saturdays and Sundays at 12:00, 14:00
Advance booking is required.
